Municipal Wastewater
Products and system solutions from ITT Advanced Water Treatment for the treatment of municipal wastewater include:
Primary Treatment
- Circular clarifiers for primary clarification.
- Monitors for wastewater treatment processes and control.
Secondary Treatment
- Conventional biological treatment systems and technologies including energy efficient ceramic and membrane fine bubble aeration systems, stainless steel coarse bubble diffusers, and in-place cleaning systems.
- The ABJ brand ICEAS Sequential Batch Reactor process for municipal treatment plants. The processes of biological oxidation, nitrification, denitrification, phosphorus removal and liquids/solids separation are achieved continuously in a single basin and can be easily expanded to accommodate increased capacity.
- The ITT Dual-Stage Membrane Bioreactor System (MBR) accepts wastewater with high loadings of BOD, suspended solids and other contaminants and yields an excellent quality effluent that can be suitable for direct discharge to surface water bodies and reuse applications. The water can be further treated with polishing processes (for instance, reverse osmosis) to yield potable water.
